Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 14, 2026. Learn how we protect your design assets and personal privacy.
At ImgsColorPicker, one of our core values is absolute user privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines the types of information we do and do not collect, process, and store when you use our high-precision online color probing tool.
1. 100% Client-Side Execution
Unlike typical design tools or online converters, ImgsColorPicker operates entirely inside your local web browser sandbox.
- ✓ Local Files Stay Local: When you drag-drop, choose file, or paste an image, it is loaded directly into your browser's memory via the HTML5 Canvas API. File data never leaves your device and is never stored.
- ✓ URL Loads Are Transient: When you paste an image URL, we first try to load it directly in your browser (zero server hop). If the host blocks cross-origin pixel reads (CORS), the image is fetched once via our own Cloudflare edge proxy
/api/proxy-imageto create a probeable, CORS-clean copy. The edge fetch is transient, cached at the edge for ~24h for performance, and never written to a database or file store. - ✓ No Image Database: We do not maintain image storage or user galleries. History/palette is kept only in your browser memory.
2. No Personal Data Collection
We do not collect any personally identifiable information (PII) while you use the color picking tools. You are not required to create an account, register, or provide an email address to use those services.
Contact form exception: if you choose to message us through the Contact Us page, we receive the name, email address, subject and message you type. That information is transmitted directly to a third-party form delivery service solely so the message can reach our inbox, and we use it only to reply to you. It is not written to any database, analytics system or file store, and no account is created from it. Using the form is entirely voluntary — you can reach us at hello@imgscolorpicker.com instead, which avoids the third-party service entirely.
3. Browser Local Storage
Our application uses local browser storage features (specifically localStorage) to save your workspace preferences. This includes:
- ✓ Your preference for Light or Dark Mode.
- ✓ Local settings such as magnifier size, zoom scale, or color space settings.
This data remains stored locally inside your device's browser profile. You can clear this data at any time by wiping your browser history or site cookies.
4. Third-Party Links & Hosting
ImgsColorPicker is hosted as a static website. The hosting provider may automatically log standard connection metadata (such as IP addresses, browser user-agent, and timestamps) for security, server diagnostic purposes, and network delivery optimization. These logs are managed by our hosting provider in compliance with global security standards.
5. Contact Information
If you have any questions or concerns regarding our privacy model, please visit our Contact Us page, or write to us directly at hello@imgscolorpicker.com. Email sent to this address is routed to our team so we can respond to you.
